Character Class: What’s Uniquely Me?
Our students had fun learning to share their views? Key learning point today is the Discoverer:
1. Learning to discover about themselves and others
2. Learning to discover the nervousness and confidence in making presentation
3. Discovering that though it is an uncomfortable place, they can still do what is important for them.
4. Learning to grow in their self-esteem and social skills
5. Learning to be more fluent in speaking English
“You opinions about me does not change who I am.” ― Lailah Gifty Akita, Think Great: Be Great!
To be successful, you need to know who you are not just from the external or from the mirror, but from who you are in the inside. Our inside is what makes us strong. Our students learned about themselves doing the “Coat of Arms” activity. In their coat of arms, they describe their dreams, their favorite things, who they admired, what’s unique about themselves, their motto. In the middle of their coat of arm, they stick their very own photos – to say “This is Me. And I love who I am.”
I praise you because you made me in such a wonderful way. I know how amazing that was! Psalms 139:14

Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm. (Sir Winston Churchchill)
In our class, we used the activities of Balloon Badminton and Dropping the Cups games to teach perseverance. Never Give Up. It is fun to keep going and fighting to get what you desire.
雅各书 James 1:2-5 Perseverance 忍耐
2 My brothers and sisters, you will have many kinds of trouble. But this gives you a reason to be very happy. 3 You know that when your faith is tested, you learn to be patient in suffering. 4 If you let that patience work in you, the end result will be good. You will be mature and complete. You will be all that God wants you to be. 5 Do any of you need wisdom? Ask God for it. He is generous and enjoys giving to everyone. So he will give you wisdom.

“It is literally true that you can succeed best and quickest by helping others to succeed.” – Napolean Hill
In this class, we played the memory card game to foster teamwork, focus, and believe. We played it where one person try to find as many pairs as possible. Then we had the team to help him, showing the ease of success.

Inside Out Character Class: Teamwork and Creativity.
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” ― Albert Einstein
Our children are taught to think freely. Create! And work at your creation as a team. Creativity and teamwork, together, are powerful. This is what makes brilliant ideas work.
Activity: With two pieces of large paper and other simple materials, each team working together must design their most creative costume for their model. Each team has children of all ages. All the team members must work together. Teams are not allowed to rely on just a few. Older members must guide and assist the younger.

June school holidays. Our youth gathered together for a fun youth retreat. The theme was “Developing Healthy Self-Esteem.” We had games, activities, lessons, and food. Our youth had lots of fun learning to be proud of themselves.

“Patience is a key element of success.” Bill Gates
We had another class on patience. When we master patience, we will master a key ingredient to love. And love makes a person complete.
Our patience activity were:
1. Counting plastic cups inside and out
2. Stacking and unstacking plastic cups without them falling apart.
Patience is what makes it successful. Not speed. And with patience, the speed increased.
